Kelseyville >> Fire conditions permitting, Join Billy Gear on Saturday, Sept. 19 for an evening nature walk along Cole Creek, Kelsey Creek Outlet and Kelsey Slough.

The 2-hour walk will start at the visitor center parking lot at 7:30 p.m. The walk will be at a slow pace and cover about 1 mile of paved road and trails. Billy hopes to see moths, owls, bats and any other nighttime critters that cross the group’s path.

Participants should dress appropriately, wear sturdy shoes and bring a good flashlight or headlamp. Rain will cancel the walk.

Clear Lake State Park is located at 5300 Soda Bay Road, Kelseyville and entry into the park is free for those attending the walk.

Anyone having special needs should contact the Clear Lake State Park Sector Office Tuesday through Thursday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 279-2267.
