Lakeport >> The ever popular L.C. Diamonds, along with special guests, will perform at a special concert on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 3 p.m. Open seating tickets are $10 and the dance floor will be open. The show is a benefit for the newly-established Jillian Billester Scholarship, which is open to area students showing a commitment to both the arts and their community.
The scholarship is in honor of the late Jillian Billester, one time Executive Director of the Lake County Arts Council and the visionary behind the transformation of a shuttered 1947 movie theater into what is today the Soper Reese Theatre, a renovated, vibrant performing arts center for the Lake County community. Tickets to the L.C. Diamonds concert are now available at www.soperreesetheatre.com, the theater box office on Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or at The Travel Center, 1265 S. Main St., Lakeport, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
