Kelseyville >> On Saturday, Aug. 15, the Clearlake Modelers, Lake County’s radio control flying club, had their first Annual Open House at their flying field in Kelseyville. This event was held in conjunction with the National Model Aviation Day and the Wounded Warrior Project.
The club is raised $601 for the Wounded Warrior Project at the event. There were demonstrations of radio control flying of airplanes, helicopters, gliders and quad-copters (drones). There was even a display of four planes in combat mode. Guests were invited to fly planes with the assistance of one of our training pilots.
The club would like to express thanks to all those who helped make this day a success.
