In an effort to aid those displaced by the ongoing wildfires in Northern California, U.S. Cellular has set up charging stations at the Twin Pines Casino at 22223 S. Hwy. 29 in Middletown (2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) and at the Moose Lodge at 15900 E. Highway 20 in Clearlake Oaks (12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.). At these stations, anyone can make a phone call, charge their mobile devices, utilize portable chargers and use tablets to access the Internet. The stations will be available for the next few days.
U.S. Cellular is also making a $5,000 donation to the American Red Cross to aid relief efforts.
