A note of gratitude
Along with several thousand others on September 12 we were evacuated from our homes in Hidden Valley Lake due to the Valley Fire.
Our first stop was the Clearlake Wal-mart parking lot, where they, Wal-mart, bent over backwards to accommodate everyone who was displaced even keeping the store open all night so there would be restroom facilities and handing out bottled water and snack food free of charge.
We decided we needed to go to the Kelseyville evacuation center where we hoped we would get information. There was no information but there was more food and drinks, a cot plus a blanket if needed and restrooms.
We want to say thank you to the folks at Wal-mart and all the volunteers who ran the Kelseyville evacuation center. Thank you!
We finally secured rooms in Williams and eventually became guests of Granzella’s Inn on the 14th where we were able to stay until we got to go home on the 21st.
There were several evacuated families who became the guests of Granzella’s Inn over this time period and we were all truly treated as family by the staff and the company as we took over the Inn.
We can’t begin to express our gratitude to everyone who made us feel so special at a time when we were unsure of a lot.
Some guests had lost their homes and others needed medical attention yet none of these became an issue for our hosts. The call from the Inn went out and donations started pouring in. Granzella’s was not the only place sheltering victims as were all the other places of lodging and Granzella’s made the donations they handled available to all.
Cooperation and donations from other businesses were unbelievable and this was all because of the effort of a couple very special people who work for Granzella’s and the generosity of the citizens of Williams.

Things I forgot
There were a few things I left out of the last letter. Global warming is becoming like sick building syndrome among the populace. Teachers are teaching students that global warming is an exact science without a degree in science, let alone allowing an opposing point of view. Just like the Madras in the middle east teaching that the infidels (USA — Israel) should be eliminated. Can anyone in this audience go thru a scenario based on science that man can cause the end of the earth except a nuclear holocaust or over population? You can’t because of all of the variables. I seriously doubt a computer could unless you pull out the variables like they did with the original global warming lie, garbage in garbage out. A complete lie and they admitted to it, and you the gullible public got sucked into it!
Al Gore (you know the Nuclear Physicist and founder of the internet, tsk, tsk!) predicted there would be no polar ice cap by 2016! So what happened? Garbage in garbage out! Don’t get me wrong man has made mistakes and we have come a long way to right those mistakes. Having said that why is America the bain of pollution when China is one of the worst polluters on the planet! Why should the USA suffer more drastic solutions that is numerically not possible, i.e. why should we suffer an economic disaster to satisfy the far left of 1 or 2 percent of the left wing environmentalist. We rely on our institutions of higher learning to teach the truth, yet a science teacher told the class to create a scenario to raise the earth’s temperature by 1 degree and they couldn’t, what does that teach you? We have suffered a 6.7 percent decline in average wage under this administration due to President Obama’s decision “to fundamentally transform America” knowing this 67 percent of Americans would not vote for him now! Where was your brain back then? He told you what he was going to do! Why make us suffer more? Show me an alternative to fossil fuels at the same price and I will back it 100 percent, but we are not even close to that. Carbon Credits are a fools paradise with you the taxpayer paying for it to the tune of billions of dollars.
Just like the Social Security lock box a complete lie. Just like gas taxes lock box to go to road repair, a complete lie! It went into the general fund to fund things like a shrimp on a treadmill and Solyndra plus $100 billion a year wasted on the frauds in government. You are being played for a fool by re-electing incumbents (career) politicians! How does somebody like Joe Biden become a multimillionaire on a $100,000 plus salary over 40 years? A Career politician can! At your expense because you the gullible taxpayer paid for it! One more thing, why pay to put a man on Mars when you cannot live on the planet or why did we pay for Solyndra? “A sucker is born every minute” What’s really sad is 50 percent of the twitter feed was whether Jeb Bush was a relative of the Bush family? UNINFORMED VOTERS? And these people vote. This is what your education system has done to our youth.
