United Christian Parish is pleased to announce a new season of iSing Children’s Choir.
Rehearsals will begin Wednesday, October 14 at 4 p.m. iSing welcomes singers of all experience levels or no-experience-yet between Kindergarten and 8th grades.
Although the rehearsal does not begin until 4 p.m. children are invited to arrive anytime after 3 p.m. We have snacks and homework help available. Or children can play on the playground and expend a little extra energy. Rehearsals end each Wednesday at 5 p.m.
This year iSing will be performing the musical “That Starry Night” a new Christmas musical centered around three friends who stumble upon a pageant rehearsal and end up being part of the show! Annie, Bobby and Stella happen upon a group of kids rehearsing for their annual Christmas Eve pageant. Not knowing what a pageant is or understanding what church is about, they learn a lot from their new friends, especially know-it-all Ronnie who seems to know EVERYTHING. When the brothers playing the Three Wise Men suddenly get sick, guess who’s asked to be part of the pageant? Annie, Bobby and Stella quickly realize that they DO belong, they’re very much needed and they are a HUGE part of the show.
There are about a dozen speaking parts in addition to the singers. Pre-Registration for iSing is free however parents are encouraged to make a $10 donation to cover the cost of the practice CD for their child if possible.
The performance will be December 13.
