Lakeport >> Set your date with a pirate for Shipwreck Day, a one-day pirate-themed event on Saturday, Oct. 17 and weighing anchor from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Library Park in Lakeport.
Shipwreck Day features an all-ages pirate costume contest, a tattoo contest, local café grub, grog tasting, vendor booths and other activities for the entire family.
Come in costume or not, sing along with pirate shanties and the Divas. Soper Reese Theatre will show a pirate movie after the event. Hatches will be battened and buckles will be swashed. Feed the Kitty and show off your knot tying skills. The event is structured for pirates of all ages.
