Lakeport >> The University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Master Gardener Program will offer two orientation meetings to provide an overview of the Master Gardener program and what is expected of a UC Master Gardener volunteer. The information will be presented by current UC Master Gardener volunteers and the Master Gardener Program Coordinator, Gabriele O’Neill. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer period.
The two orientation meetings will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 5:30 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 30 at 5:30 p.m., respectively. Both meetings will be held in the conference room of the Agricultural Center, at 883 Lakeport Blvd., Lakeport. Only one orientation meeting is necessary for you to attend, not both.
Master Gardeners are volunteer staff of the University of California who have been trained and certified to extend research-based horticultural information to the public. To become eligible for the training it is mandatory to attend this orientation meeting.
RSVP to one orientation date by calling 263-6838 or by emailing celake@ucanr.edu. If you are unable to attend either date, notify the UCCE by calling their office at 263-6838 so an alternative time for your orientation can be arranged.
