Lakeport >> Students in grades seventh through 12th are invited to attend the My Future, My Way Workshop on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mendocino College Lake Center. There will be information on nursing, fire fighting, computer science, law enforcement, automotive and sustainable construction. Students can participate in some hands-on activities from college instructors.
There will be some chainsaw demonstrations for Alaskan milling in the construction session. Marines will be at the workshop with a boot camp session as well.
There is no charge to attend and the drawing for prizes is free. Catered lunch, plus snacks, note pads and bag are all provided.
