LAKEPORT >> The Friends of the Lake County Museum received a state-wide grant from the Society for California Archaeology to help fund our outreach programs for October’s California Archaeology Month.
Mark your calendars for Oct. 24 from 2-4 p.m. for presentations on archaeology. Speakers include the museum’s new assistant curator Whitney Petrey, John Parker and professor Douglas Prather. All three have extensive knowledge in their respective fields, and promise to illuminate the often misconstrued world of archaeology.
This is a free event, open to all ages, and is handicap accessible, however please note that seating is limited. The event will be held in the Historic Courthouse Museum, located at 255 N Main St, Lakeport.
