Steven B. Garrett paints the window outside of the law offices of William Conwell and Anna Gregorian on Third Street in Lakeport Thursday afternoon. Born in Ukiah, artist lives in Clearlake and has been painting storefronts for more than 20 years. The window display is in anticipation of Shipwreck Day on Oct. 17 and features a skull wearing a pirate hat and a ship wrecked off the cost of an island. The event will include an all-ages pirate costume contest, a tattoo contest, food and vendor booths from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Library Park in Lakeport.
