Lakeport >> In conjunction with the Shipwreck Day event in downtown Lakeport, the Soper Reese Theatre invites the community drop anchor for a special screening of “Pirates of the Caribbean, Curse of the Black Pearl” Saturday at 7 p.m.
There will be prizes for best costume and best “talk like a pirate” (15 second limit with content suitable for all ages). A special bit a booty goes to the first 50 swabbies in the door.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Contests and prizes are at 7 p.m. Film begins at 7:30 p.m. Emcees will be Bert Hutt and Jennifer Strong. Tickets will not be sold for this event, but donations are accepted at the door.
