Kelseyville >> Members of First American Title ran a booth at Kelseyville’s Pear Festival in order to raise money for the nonprofit organization, Gobble. It is the brainchild of Rob Ishihara, a Kelseyville resident and Kelseyville High School graduate, that he created to help feed families in need on Thanksgiving.

“Thanksgiving is a time for being thankful for the things we are fortunate enough to have, and for me it is being thankful for my friends and family. I got the idea from Anthony Robbins who started an organization focused on feeding families at Thanksgiving and now feeds over a million families every Thanksgiving. When he was a child someone brought dinner to his family on Thanksgiving when they were in need and he never forgot it. My mother Denise teaches at Kelseyville primary school and I wanted to start there and double our efforts each year. Last year, we were able to feed 20 families and because of the efforts of First American Title and Laujor Estate Winery we will exceed our goal of feeding 40+ families this year.”

The booth sold sangria made with local wines produced and donated by Dave and Cheryl Lucido of Laujor Estate Winery in Kelseyville and actually sold out by the early afternoon and had to go out and buy more supplies. The First American Title team of Leana Teschner, Marsy Harrell, Kim Hartzog, Danielle Janules and Pam Mulder worked tirelessly all day along with Ishihara to help achieve and exceed their goal. If anyone is interested in making donations they can mail checks made out to Gobble, C/O Rob Ishihara at 901 S. Main St. in Lakeport CA 95453.
