FORT BRAGG >> Brian Carillo rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on Friday night as the Kelseyville Knights pounded the Fort Bragg Timberwolves 36-6 in North Central League I junior varsity football action at Fort Bragg.
Carillo and Dillon Hawley provided the Knights (3-1 league, 5-2 overall) with quite a one-two punch in the backfield. Hawley added 56 yards on only three carries, two of them for touchdowns.
J.D. Prescott anchored the Kelseyville defense with 13 solo tackles and six assists. Four of the tackles resulted in Fort Bragg losses. Another stalwart on defense for the Knights was John Mendonca with eight tackles, three assists, one sack and a 40-yard interception return.
Kelseyville returns home Friday night to play Middletown. Middletown beat St. Helena 14-6 last weekend to improve to 4-0 in the league standings and 5-1 overall.
