FORT BRAGG >> In a Tuesday afternoon game that was physical bordering on ugly, the Middletown Mustangs beat the host Fort Bragg Timberwolves 3-1 to remain perfect in the North Central League I girls’ soccer standings at 9-0.
All the scoring took place in the first half. Middletown, now 10-2 overall, grabbed a 3-0 lead on a pair of goals from senior Kaleigh Alves and another from Caitlin Lemoine.
Courtney Gillies, Aly Ferguson and Rosie Emerson had assists for Middletown.
