MIDDLETOWN >> Drake Harbison scored on a 19-yard run in the second quarter while Luke Holt added a 25-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter as the Middletown Mustangs beat the St. Helena Saints 14-6 on Friday night in Middletown to remain undefeated in the North Central League I junior varsity football standings.
Middletown (4-0 league, 5-1 overall) hits the road this Friday to play Kelseyville (3-1, 5-2) in a first-place showdown.
Harbison’s 66 rushing yards on 16 carries powered the Mustangs on offense. On defense, Colton Hall led the way with 10 tackles.
“It was a tough game,” Middletown coach Tony Hart said.
St. Helena’s lone score came on a pass midway through the fourth quarter to cut Middletown’s lead to 14-6.
