The committee met this last Monday and with pledges from the community and those of long term supporters, season 12 will go forward providing for 124 donations. It will be a daunting task to gather so many items, but so far replacement duffle bags, lunch bags, and many winter jackets have already been purchased.
It is not certain to what level the donation will ultimately be, but the important thing to the committee and followers is that the season will not be missed.
Currently the group is gathering information on the needs throughout the county. Agencies and organizations assisting teenagers in need, and especially those affected by the Valley Fire, should contact Cheri Johnson at 987-3685 for inclusion in this years donation planned for Monday, November 30.
The Valley Fire has affected a vast majority in our county. The determination of Totes4Teens committee members and supporters is the hope that by going forward regardless of the inventory loss in the fire will be a message to the recipients that some things can continue and will not change.
