KELSEYVILLE >> Lake County Council of Church Women United (CWU) will meet on Nov. 6 at 10:30 a.m., at Kelseyville United Methodist Church, 1st and Main Street, Kelseyville. The guest speaker will be Khalida Wukawitz, author and motivational speaker. She is one of several authors who share their experiences of moving from Islam to Christianity in a book titled “10 Amazing Muslims Touched By God.”

Wukawitz candidly speaks about her transformation from being Muslim to Christian. Not only is she a vibrant speaker, she currently helps others throughout Lake County with transitioning and understanding the differences between the religions.

Recently she was the guest speaker as Lower Lake United Methodist Women celebrated a pot luck luncheon at Lower Lake Community Methodist Church in September hosted by Shauna Armstrong.

Anyone interested in hearing the journey of Khalida Wukawitz, from Jordan to Lake County is welcome to join the group on Friday, Nov. 6 where lunch will also be served, CWU is open to all Christian women and the organization coordinates the Shoes for School Children program and participates in many local programs to improve opportunities for children and families.
