LAKEPORT >> Wayne Breazeale of Kelseyville and fishing partner Mike Menne of Redding are in fourth place after the first round of the two-day American Bass North Team Classic at Clear Lake.
The final-round weigh-in takes place today at approximately 3 p.m. at Konocti Vista Casino, Resort and Marina.
Breazeale and Menne brought a five-fish limit to the scales weighing 27.37 pounds, anchored by the big fish of the tournament (8.69 pounds).
Randy Pierson and Glenn Pierson of Oakdale are the round-one leaders with 33.12 pounds. The teams of Joe Hinkle-Glen Lockhart (27.92) and Rod Cree-Matt Silveria (27.49) are second and third, respectively.
Rounding out the top five is Jeff Michels-Justin Regelin with 25.50.
Leaders Pierson-Pierson just missed big fish honors with a 8.64-pounder.
Ninety-six teams blasted off Saturday in round one. A total of 436 fish were brought to the scales with an average weight of 3.35 pounds. Only one dead was was brought to the scales.
