LAKEPORT >> Wayne Breazeale of Kelseyville and fishing partner Mike Menne of Redding finished second in the American Bass North Team Classic at Clear Lake with a two-day total weight of 53.52 pounds.
The two-day competition opened Saturday and concluded Sunday at Konocti Vista Casino, Resort and Marina.
Rod Cree and Matt Silveira won the event with 54.01 pounds. They received $3,580 and a new Ranger bass boat. Breazeale and Menne, who were in fourth place after the first round on Saturday, earned $7,140.
Randy Pierson and Glenn Pierson came in third with 52.47 pounds and pocketed $5,260.
Rounding out the top five places were the teams of Joe Hinkle-Glen Lockhart, fourth with 52.43 pounds ($2,860); and Robert Dong-Kevin Lee, fifth with 48.67 pounds ($3,560).
