Clearlake

Highlands Senior Service Center invites guests of all ages to its Halloween party and dance with music by the Tattooed Cherries on Friday beginning at noon. Guests are encouraged to wear costumes and enter the contest for best costume. Lunch will also be available for $8 for people younger than 60 or the suggested donation of $4 for people 60 and older. The Highlands Senior Center is located at 3245 Bowers Ave. in Clearlake.

Clearlake Oaks

The Animal Coalition is having its annual Halloween dinner and costume party at the Moose Lodge located on Hwy 20 & 53. Call 998-3740 for information.

The Live Oak Senior Center will host a Halloween party on Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be Bingo, a guess the weight of the pumpkin contest as well as a costume contest open to all at noon. There will be prizes for the costume contest and eight different categories including best male, best female, most original and scariest costume. The Live Oak Senior Center is located at 12502 Foothill Blvd.

Kelseyville

The Taylor Observatory-Norton Planetarium presents “A Scary Night Under the Stars” from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Enjoy a digital Halloween-themed planetarium show that will be playing every hour on the half-hour. Other activities include telescope viewing of the moon and deep sky objects through the observatory’s 16-inch Meade LX200 telescope, treat bags for children younger than 12 and a costume contest, which is set to begin at 7:15. Lakeport

Bring your kids to trick-or-treat on Main Street, Lakeport from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Businesses participating in the even will have a pumpkin picture in the window. A costume contest for the kids is slated for 4:30 at Museum Park. For more information, email lakeportmainst@gmail.com or call 263-8843.

The Lakeport Senior Activity Center and L.C. Diamonds are putting on a Halloween benefit concert for the community displaced by the Valley Fire from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. All of proceeds from admission and raffles will be donated to the Lake Area Rotary Valley Fire Relief Fund. Seats are limited. Tickets cost $20, and include a chili and cornbread dinner along with a no-host bar. They are currently available at the Meals on Wheels Thrift Store at 120 N. Cobb

The Cobb community will hold a Halloween get-together at the Blackrock Golf Course, 16451 Golf Road, from 2 to 9 p.m. Pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating, a Spooky Movie on the Green, glow sticks and music, provided by the C.A.M. Band and The Soul Shine Blues Band. Food will be provided by Sysco. For information, call 928-4160.

The Village Pub’s Halloween Bash, featuring music by the C.A.M. Band and appetizers by Bellissimo Wine Country Catering, starts at 8 p.m. to 11:55. Admission is $10 at the door. Costume contest pays $100 for best male and female costume.

Finley

KPFZ is having a Halloween concert and benefit party at the Big Valley Grange, 1510 Big Valley Road, from 6 to 10 p.m. Music provided by Without a Net. Prizes will be awarded in several categories. Dinner is potluck -please bring a dish. There will be a no-host bar featuring beer and wine. Entry is $12 for KPFZ and $15 for non-members.

Lakeport

Haunted Lake County will run it’s annual haunted house on Halloween night from 5 to 10 p.m. Titled “A Walk Through the Forest,” the event will be held in the 500 Block of Forest Drive in Lakeport. Donations are accepted every year to benefit a fundraiser. This year’s donations will be given to North Coast Opportunities’ Valley Fire Fund through Mendo Lake Credit Union. Parking will be provided by Ruzicka and Associates in the High Street Village, which lies a block south of the haunted house location. For information go to www.facebook.com/hauntedlakecounty.

The Lakeport branch of Kiwanis International will hold their annual Halloween party from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Clear Lake High School Gym in Lakeport. Billed as “a safe way for children to celebrate Halloween,” the event is intended for children aged from preschool to 13, and will offer games, candy, prizes, a costume contest that begins at 7:15, refreshments and more. Admission is free.

Fright Night crawls onto the stage at the Soper Reese Theatre starting at 7 p.m. with a special screening of “Frankenstein” starring Boris Karloff. Food, fun and mischief will be lurking about, with contests and prizes for best costume and best “walk like a monster.” A spooky little prize will go to the first 50 in the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Film begins at 7:30. Donations will be accepted at the door. The Soper Reese Theatre is located at 275 S. Main St., Lakeport. For information call 263-0577.

Konocti Vista Casino is having a Halloween party and costume contest featuring live music from DECADES from 8 to 11:55 p.m. Prizes for top three places in the costume contest. Event is 21 and older. The Clearlake Club is having a costume party from 7 to 11:55 p.m., with costume contests, drink specials, music and fun. Early Bird Contest at 9 p.m. with winner announced at 9:15. Late Night Contest at midnight with winner announced at 12:15 a.m. Must be a customer to be eligible for both contests. Must be 21 or older to attend.

Upper Lake

Blue Wing does Halloween for dinner, featuring the music of Majide, from 6 to 9 p.m. It’s the regular dinner menu, with the exception of staff being dressed in costume for the occasion. No cover; guests are invited to dress up too. For information, call 275-2233.
