MIDDLETOWN >> Rosie Emerson scored a goal and assisted on another as the Middletown Mustangs shut out Cloverdale 3-0 in North Central League I girls’ soccer action on Thursday in Middletown.
Middletown (12-1 league, 13-3 overall) allowed just one shot on goal.
“Our defensive did amazing,” Middletown coach Amy Emerson said.
Goals by Emerson (on a corner kick) and Kaleigh Alves staked Middletown to a 2-0 halftime lead. Aly Ferguson added an insurance goal in the second half.
Middletown closes out its league and regular-season schedule Saturday in Willits at 11 a.m.
