Lower Lake >> A Lower Lake man was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning for allegedly driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash.
Kyle B. Pearce crashed into a tree when he lost control traveling southbound on Highway 29 south of Diener Drive at about 2:35. His 2004 Jeep overturned after the hit. The vehicle became fully engulfed in flames but Pearce was able to escape and get to a safe distance, according to reports from the California Highway Patrol.
The responding officer’s investigation led him to placed Pearce under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Pearce, however, was flown out to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center to treat moderate injuries.
