Kelseyville >> The next Fiddlers’ Jam at the Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum is this Sunday from noon through 2 p.m. Celebrating Americana music, there will be “old timey” tunes and sometimes a sing-along.
A little over two years ago the stage stop volunteers began a partnership with the Northern California Old Time Fiddlers Association, District 10, and together they created the monthly jams. This is a free, family-friendly event for all ages.
Guest who come early can check out latest museum acquisitions and displays. There are also picnic tables for guests to eat lunch. Docents will provide beverages and treats as well. Attendees can bring wine and sip it in Ely Stage Stop wine glasses that are available for purchase.
Tickets will be available for the barns, birds and quilts raffle trio. The winning ticket will be drawn at the Nov. 15 Lake County Historical Society annual holiday dinner.
Attendees can make donations and the money collected is split between Ely, to help fund the blacksmith complex that is currently under construction, and the fiddlers association, which uses it to partially fund its scholarship programs.
