
UKIAH >> The mud will be flying on Saturday night as the Dirt Nationals and Mudd Bogg Nationals visit the Ukiah Speedway, a final hurrah for the 2015 racing seasons.
Bombers, mini-stocks, Jammers and trucks will be on hand for the season finale. The Dirt Nationals and Mudd Bogg Nationals are part of a yearlong series. Trucks of all shapes and sizes compete in the Mudd Bogg division. The overall series winner receives cash and a championship ring at the season-ending banquet in January. The Dirt Nationals field consists of cars that normally run on asphalt tracks, only this time they’ll be sliding around in the mud. The series winner receives cash and a championship ring.
Racing fans are advised to bring blankets and warm clothes for the night’s racing. Hot beverages also will be served at the snack bar. Speedway gates open at 3:30 p.m. and the mud-slinging action starts at 5 p.m.
