
The Lake County Office of Education announces the 21st Annual Excellence in Education Awards Ceremony. The event will be held November 20 at the Event Center at Twin Pine Casino & Hotel in Middletown. This ceremony honors the County Teacher of the Year, District Teachers of the Year, and many others who have positively impacted education in Lake County.
The event includes hors’ devours provided by Twin Pine Casino, a no host beverage bar, inspiring presentations and a special awards ceremony. The public is encouraged to attend and honor the educators who have risen above the challenges and continue to inspire with passion, innovation and an overriding commitment to excellence. This year’s honorees include:
Elisa Prather, Lake County Teacher of the Year and Lakeport Unified School District Teacher of the Year
Pam Ingersoll, Konocti Unified District Teacher of the Year
Clarinda Higgins, Upper Lake Union Elementary School District Teacher of the Year
Paul Holt, Upper Lake High School District Teacher of the Year
Cheryl Mostin, Kelseyville Unified District Teacher of the Year
Sue Olsen, Middletown Unified District Teacher of the Year
Megan Grant, Lucerne Elementary District Teacher of the Year
In addition, District Classified Employees of the Year will be honored as well as the Early Childhood Educator the Year. The Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) will present a special award and finally, the Champion of Education Award will be presented by County Superintendent of Schools Brock Falkenberg.
The event is complimentary for all award recipients and one guest. A $20 fee (cash or check only) will be collected for each additional guest.
