VALLEJO >> St. Patrick/St. Vincent of Vallejo swept Middletown out of the North Coast Section Division IV volleyball playoffs on Wednesday night, winning 25-15, 25-20, 25-13 at St. Patrick/St. Vincent High School.
Middletown, fifth in the North Central League I standings this season, finishes the season at 11-12 overall.
St. Patrick/St. Vincent, the No. 3 seed in the 16-team Division IV field, advances to the quarterfinals on Saturday and will host No. 7 Justin-Siena of Napa.
Middletown was one of three Lake County teams competing in the first round of the Division IV playoffs. Kelseyville won on Wednesday night while Clear Lake lost.
