Clearlake >> The Highlands Senior Service Center will host two upcoming events for the holiday season.
On Thursday, the center will host Hospice Services of Lake County’s Hope for the Holidays group discussion from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Community members are invited to participate in the group discussion on natural reactions to grief and an offering of suggestions on how to cope with the holidays after the death of a loved one. The group is free and light refreshments will be served.
The center will then host a free community Thanksgiving dinner on Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
The first seating will be at 11:30 a.m., and the second seating will be at 12:30 p.m. All ages are welcome. The dinner is made possible by a donation from Redwood Credit Union. For more information, call 994-3051.
