Lakeport >> Residents and business owners in Lakeport are welcome to apply for this year’s holiday window decorating contests, sponsored by Lakeport Main Street Association, Lake County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Lakeport.
All entries must be located within the Lakeport city limits and differ from the previous year’s entry. Judging will be during the week of Dec. 7, with prizes awarded Dec. 15 at the Lakeport City Council Meeting at 6 p.m. Businesses and residences will be judged in two separate categories. First prize in each category is $200, second prize is $100 and third prize is $50.
Currently there are 19 businesses registered for the contest, but zero residences.
Forms are available at the Lakeport Main Street Association Desk in the lobby of City Hall, at 225 Park St. Once an application is filled out, please return it to city hall between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
If you would like to register, but are unable to make it to City Hall, you can call 263-8843 and someone can fill out a form for you over the phone. If nobody answers, please leave a message and your call will be returned.
Entries are due no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7.
