AMERICAN CANYON >> The Lake County Diamonds All-Star Cheerleading teams participated in their first competition of the 2015-16 season and came away with top finishes on Sunday at American Canyon.

The USA Regional competition included teams from throughout Northern California. Led by coach Danita Shook, the Tiny All-Stars Prep Team, consisting of 11 girls ages 3-6, finished first in their division after dancing to a customized mix of music.

Shook’s second team, the Senior Level 2 Magic Team, featuring 20 girls ages 10-16, also captured first place in its division.

“This was a great start to our competition season and we hope to continue our winning streak next month in Sacramento,” Shook said.

The Diamonds plan to compete in two more regional competitions and two national events before their 2015-16 season ends.

Members of the Tiny All-Stars Prep Team are Emma Sanderson-Iseppi, Emma Jones, Heather Warren, Chloe Blom, Bella Cruz, Lorena Inong, Gianna Sorden, Aunna Beckwith, Myriah Percoats, Isabella Barnes and Stella Mielke.

Members of the Senior Level 2 Magic Team are Shaianne Sims, Anna Popovich, Makaila Brown, Mia Vandagriff, Megan Franco, Jade Ruiz, Parker Wink, Katelin Butrick, Melanie Gerst, Mikayla Parrott, Carly Gambill, Hayley Butrick, Kaitlin Alire, Jiana Jaehn, Emily Sandavol, Ruby Griffin, Jori Woodruff, Abigail Tacla, Pailey Shook and Riley Brothers.
