Wreath making workshop offered in Lakeport

UC Master Gardeners will present a workshop on how to make a wreath using local materials or a grapevine wreath on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Agricultural Center, at 883 Lakeport Blvd. Materials will be provided, but please bring your own clippers and scissors.

No previous experience is required, light snacks will be provided and you get to take your wreath home.

There is a $10 materials charge for the workshop. Space is limited so an RSVP is required.

Erosion control workshop scheduled for Middletown

UC Master Gardeners will host a free workshop on erosion control on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Calpine Visitors Center on 15500 Central Park Road. This workshop will focus on measures to take now to prepare your home and garden for heavy rain, especially in fire damaged areas.

Spots available in Master Gardener training class

Do you like to garden? Are you interested in helping other gardeners in Lake County? Then consider applying to become a University of California Master Gardener. UC Master Gardeners are volunteer staff of the University of California who have been trained and certified to extend research-based horticultural information to the public.
