Fast work by firefighters saves home

Firefighters battled a structure fire on Gaddy Lane in Kelseyville on Saturday night. Although a garage and outbuilding were engulfed in flame, firefighters saved the house. There were no injuries reported and the couple living in the home escaped safely, according to witnesses. Crews from the Kelseyville Fire Protection District, the Lakeport Fire Protection District and CalFire responded to the blaze, which spread to a vehicle and reportedly set off ammunition inside.
