Lower Lake >> The Anderson Marsh Interpretive Assoc. (AMIA) the all-volunteer group that presents the popular “Christmas at the Ranch” at the Anderson Marsh Historic State Park every year, announced that the event has to be canceled this year. The event was originally scheduled for Dec. 12.

“Because of circumstances beyond our control, AMIA has been forced to cancel this popular event for this year only,” said president of AMIA Roberta Lyons. “AMIA looks forward to bringing this event to the public again in 2016.”

This festive event has been held by AMIA for many years, and will resume on Dec. 10, 2016, Lyons stressed.

The Old-Fashioned Christmas at the Ranch at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park typically features sing-along Christmas carols led by local musicians, Christmas treats and hot cider and Santa, who visits with children.

Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is located on Highway 53, between Lower Lake and Clearlake. For information about AMIA or the Park, call 995-2658 or email info@andersonmarsh.org.
