Rob Ishihara, a Realtor with Country Air Properties, in partnership with First American Title were able to raise over $1,400 through donations and a booth at this year’s Kelseyville Pear Festival for Gobble, a non profit organization. Gobble is Ishihara’s brainchild he created to help feed families in need at Thanksgiving. The First American Title team consisting of Leana Teschner, Marsy Harrell, Kim Hartzog, Danielle Janules and Pam Mulder worked tirelessly all day along with Ishihara to help achieve and exceed their goal. Last Friday Ishihara got together with Julie Taylor, Misty Poloni, Byron Duerkson, and Ruby Martinez and did all the shopping and prepared bags with a turkey and all the fixings. They then delivered the bags to Kelseyville schools and two locations in Lakeport for families to pick up. In all they were able to provide Thanksgiving dinner for over 40 families. ‘Last year we were able to feed 20 families and because of the efforts of First American Title, Laujor Estate Winery, and my colleagues, we were able exceed our goal of feeding 40-plus families,’ Ishihara said. The group is hoping to also be able to purchase Christmas presents for kids at Christmas time, if possible. If anyone is interested in making donations they can mail checks made payable to Gobble, C/O Rob Ishihara at 901 S. Main St, Lakeport CA 95453.
