The Rotary Club of Clear Lake is currently accepting donations for its annual Warm of the Winter giveaway. Items that are accepted included coats, gloves, tents, tarps and blankets which will go to families and homeless people in need. They are especially in need of kids’ coats, socks, underwear and hats.
The giveaway will take place on Saturday, Dec. 12 during the Rotary community Christmas dinner at Burns Valley Elementary School, located at 3620 Pine Street in Clearlake.
Donations for Warm of the Winter will be accepted until Friday, Dec. 11. If you wish to contribute items, contact Joyce Overton at 350-2898. Or drop off items at the Highlands Senior Center from 9 a.m. — 3 p.m., Monday to Friday.
