LAKE COUNTY >> According to Mark Miller of the Lake County Water Resources Department, the 2016 resident quagga mussel boat stickers will be issued to all retailers and local tackle shops by Dec. 8.
Miller said he is reminding local boat owners that they need the county sticker as well as the state sticker. Also, if county residents take their boat outside the county after receiving their 2016 resident stickers they are required to check in with a local screening location when they return to Lake County. The screening process is free.
