Lakeport >> After months of rehearsal, LCTC’s “A Tuna Christmas” opens tonight.

In this hilarious sequel to “Greater Tuna,” it’s Christmas in the tiny town of Tuna, Texas. The peculiar residents of Tuna are competing in the annual Christmas yard display contest. A mysterious Christmas Phantom throws a wrench in the contest by destroying the residents’ elaborate décor. In the meantime, Tuna’s community theater director attempts to put on “A Christmas Carol,” despite numerous obstacles in his path.

Two actors (Tim “Cheese” Barnes and Rod Rehe) portray the 22 eccentric personalities in this fun-filled evening of good old fashioned holiday dysfunction. Even if you missed “Greater Tuna,” you will still enjoy “A Tuna Christmas.” The show opens tonight at the Lower Lake Schoolhouse Museum at 7 p.m. and continues weekends through Dec. 20, Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. (no performance Dec. 11).

Tickets available online at www.lakecountytheatrecompany.org, at Pieces Boutique in Lakeport and the Game Hub in Lower Lake. For information, call Laura at 533-3406.
