Applications are now available for the Lakeport Lighted Holiday Decorating Contest which offers cash prizes for the best decorated homes and businesses in the city. Forms can be downloaded from lakeportmainstreet.com or they can be picked up in the lobby of the Lakeport City Hall at 225 Park St., or from the Lake County Chamber of Commerce at 475 Lakeport Blvd.
Applications are due no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7. All applicant locations must be within the city limits of Lakeport.
There are two categories, Residential and Business. First prize for each category is $200, second prize is $100, and third prize is $50.
Judging will be in the evening during the week of Dec. 7 — 13, and prizes will be awarded at the Lakeport City Council meeting on Dec. 15, at 6 p.m.
