Middletown >> Celebrate the season during the 20th annual Renaissance Christmas Pageant and Feast, which starts tonight and will continue Sunday and next weekend at Greystone Castle — also known as the Middletown Community United Methodist Church, located at 15155 Armstrong St.
Only 50 seats are available per performance. Call for availability.
To start the evening before his lordship arrives musicians will perform and there will be garland and head wreaths sold. Once his lordship is present, guests will be treated with a three-course as a light-hearted mystery in the castle’s Great Hall unfolds around them.
There will be a Capella Renaissance and Christmas music, authentic costumes and décor.
Come as yourself or as a noble, a peasant or as a pirate. Costumes are not required but best dressed attendees may be recognized by the hosts, Lord and Lady Greystone.
Dates for this year’s evening performances are Friday Dec. 11, and Saturdays, Dec. 5 and 12, at 7 p.m. Afternoon performances will be held on Sundays, Dec. 6 and 13 at 3 p.m. Arrive up to 30 minutes early for the pre-feast festivities before his lordship arrives.
Individual tickets are $35 each; for groups 10 or more they are $30. There will also be a dress rehearsal with snacks instead of a full feast on Sunday. Tickets are pre-sale only and not available at the door. You may obtain your tickets online at http://middletownchristmaspageanttickets.weebly.com/ or by contacting Shari Garrett at (707) 987-2653.
Vegetarian meals are available if requested at time of ticket purchase.
All proceeds from the pageant go directly toward supporting community programs such as emergency food distribution, parenting support groups and community outreach programs which are sponsored by the Middletown Community United Methodist Church.
