Clearlake >> Warm of the Winter is currently accepting donation for their annual giveaway at the Community Christmas Dinner. Items that are accepted included coats, gloves, tents, tarps and blankets which will go to families and homeless people in need. Organizers stated they are especially in need of kids’ coats, socks, underwear and hats.
Donations for Warm of the Winter will be accepted until Friday, Dec. 11. If you wish to contribute items, contact Joyce Overton at 350-2898, or drop off items at the Highlands Senior Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The giveaway will take place on Saturday, Dec. 12 during the Rotary Community Christmas Dinner at Burns Valley Elementary School, located at 3620 Pine St. in Clearlake.
