For 30 years people in Lake County have been making the holidays a little warmer for their neighbors in need. A collaborative effort of Lake County Publishing, the Lakeport Rotary Club, Bruno’s Shop Smart, Foods Etc., Scully Packing, Umpqua banks, Westamerica banks, Lake Family Resource Center and NCO Community Action Agency, provides Christmas baskets to people in need during the holidays.
A total of 1,200 baskets will be distributed, 600 to the Northshore and 600 to the Southshore. Baskets are limited to one per physical address.
All signups must be in before noon on Dec. 9. Proof of Lake County residency and proof of income are required for Southshore, proof of residency for Northshore.

The baskets will be distributed before Christmas.
Anyone wishing to contribute to the Christmas basket program may bring or mail contributions to any branches of Umpqua and Westeramerica banks.
Checks should be written to Lake County Christmas Fund.
