Lake County >> Brittany A. Shores and Christopher J. Kelleher will graduate from the Santa Rosa Public Safety Training Center tonight. The two attended the year-long modular police academy’s Class No. 185 while maintaining full-time jobs.
Born and raised in Clearlake, Shores has worked full-time at Brookdale Senior Living for almost six years where she’s developed close relationships with coworkers and residents who her sister Amber Shores calls her biggest fans. Kelleher, Brittany Shore’s significant other, was born in Main County and raised in Lake County. He has been working at Foods Etc. since 2008, been a volunteer Lake County firefighter since 2009 and has worked at Jones and Lewis Mortuary since 2010.
Both hope to work for Lake County departments to give back and better the community, Amber Shores said.
Kelleher was chosen for a permanent class position as the class leader/president and Shores was chosen for a permanent position for leadership as a squad leader.
The graduation ceremony will take place at the Santa Rosa Junior College Public Safety Training Center, located at 5743 Skylane Blvd. in Windsor.
