School benefit
The Vikings of Lake Lodge #6-166 of the Sons of Norway will hold their December Scandinavian Christmas Open House event on Saturday, Dec. 12 from noon to 3 p.m. At this free event, Scandinavian style delicacies will be available to try. A performance of the Santa Lucia Pageant will be at 1:30 p.m. There will be a raffle table full of baskets; proceeds will benefit the Cobb Mountain Elementary through the club’s “Adopt-A-School” program. There will also be a bake sale, featuring lots of cookies and cakes. This event will be held in the Fellowship Hall at the Galilee Lutheran Church, 8860 Soda Bay Road, Kelseyville. Community breakfast
Spring Valley will have its monthly breakfast on Sunday, Dec. 13. The holiday tree is up and the fire in the fireplace should be toasty.
Making a return is their all you can eat buffet, and the special will be warm spiced fruit. They will also have omelets made to order, pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, biscuits and gravy and coffee and juice.
Adults are $7 and kids are $3. Hours are from 8 to 11 a.m. The breakfast is held at the Spring Valley Community Center, at 3000 Wolf Creek Road. For questions, call 998-9928.
