Upper Lake >> The Upper Lake Community Food Project will take place today at 4 p.m. on the porch of the Odd Fellow’s Hall,on Main Street in downtown Upper Lake.
Sign in and wait for your name to be called. One food bag per household only, and participants must be present and bags will be provided until supply runs out.
Additional nonperishable canned foods, grooming and household products will also be available. Donations of garden vegetables and fruit are welcomed.
Clothing for men, women and children will be available to look through and take. Only donations of men’s clothing for the coming winter weather are accepted at this time. Bring paper or cloth bags.
Distributors will provide hand out material and applications for the CalFresh debit program for seniors. They are able to help people fill out the CalFresh application at the Upper Lake Senior Support Services office on the corner of First Street and Mendenhall in Upper Lake on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Telephone number for Senior Support Services is 275-3513.
