SANTA ROSA >> Four Lake County Channel Cats swim club members were among the 400 participants entered in the Swim Like The Dickens meet last weekend at Santa Rosa Junior College.
The competition drew swimmers from throughout California and Nevada.
Charlie Adams, 14, won all five of the events he entered while Nikki Hanson, 15, finished first in the 200-yard individual medley and second in both the 100 and 200 backstroke.
Also for the Channel Cats, Danielle Erickson, 15, earned personal-best times in several events while also finishing third in both the 50 and 200 freestyle. Robin Adams, 12, swam to a personal best in the 100 freestyle while placing 14th.
The Channel Cats now take a three-week break before returning to the pool Jan. 4 at Quail Run Fitness Center in Lakeport. For more information on joining the Channel Cats, contact Jen Hanson at 263-3131.
