The Lakeport Police Department (LPD) is asking the public’s assistance in finding Muffet, a lost companion dog for an elderly female shut-in. The dog ran away on Dec. 19 from the Fourth Street and Brush Street area. The woman attempts to look for Muffet at night when it has been cold, putting herself in danger as she gets lost easily, LPD Sgt. Gary Basor said.
