Volunteers and officers from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, California Highway Patrol, Clearlake and Lakeport police departments as well as the district attorney’s office drop off the gifts at the children’s homes. Wallace said it is a positive experience that helps develop good relationships between the children and officers.
