BRENTWOOD >> Two Lake County wrestlers are still alive after the first day of the Lou Bronzan Invitational at Liberty High School in Brentwood.
Both Middletown and Upper Lake high schools entered wrestlers in the competition and each team has on wrestler moving on to today’s quartefinals.
For Middletown, senior Wyatt Jones is 2-0 at 195 pounds after scoring a technical fall and a pin in his first two matches.
For Upper Lake, freshman Junior Fernandez is 1-0 at 120 pounds. He had a first-round bye before scoring a 17-2 technical fall in his second match.
