KELSEYVILLE >> The undefeated North Central League I varsity volleyball champions in 2015 need your help as they raise money for new uniforms, equipment and supplies for the upcoming season.

The Kelseyville Knights are holding a breakfast fundraiser on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Kelseyville Lions Club, located on 4335 Sylar Lane in Kelseyville. Tickets are $7 at the door or presale tickets can be purchased by contacting coach Donelle McCallister at 279-4923 or any Kelseyville volleyball player. Tax-deductible donations are accepted even if you cannot attend the breakfast.

Each month the Lions cook an outstanding breakfast of pancakes with all the fixings to support local youth athletics and activities and all proceeds from Sunday’s breakfast will benefit the Kelseyville High volleyball program.

The Kelseyville varsity club, winner of two league titles in the last three years, returns all but one starter in 2016. It desperately needs to replace its 15-year-old uniforms that were originally hand-me-down jerseys for the junior varsity squad. Each new jersey costs approximately $60. Money raised from the breakfast also will replenish the team’s supply of volleyballs and help pay for travel expenses to out-of-area tournaments.

The 2015 varsity Knights not only excelled on the court last season where they won the league title with a 14-0 record, but in the classroom where they combined for a nearly perfect 3.93 GPA.
