Green Party meets on Sunday
Lake County Board of Supervisors District 5 candidates Norm Longoria and Joan Moss are the guest speakers at the Green Party meeting on Sunday. After speakers, the movie “Fix It” will be shown.
The event is scheduled to take place from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Round Table Pizza meeting room.
The Green Party of Lake County is part of the California Green Party (CAgreens.org) and the Green Party of the United States (gpus.org). It is international and has elected representatives in many countries. County council positions are open; a registered Green Party member can file a declaration with the Registrar of Voters and collect 10 signatures from fellow members to be eligible for the County Council for the Green Party of Lake County. Supervisor to speak at luncheon club
Lake County District 1 Supervisor Jim Comstock will deliver his “State of the County” address at the next Middletown Luncheon Club.
Comstock will give the audience a retrospective of 2015 in Lake County and give insights on what to expect in 2016. This will be Comstock’s final luncheon club address as a supervisor.
Lunch will be served on Jan. 20, at noon by senior center staff at the Middletown Senior Center, 21256 Washington St. The program will end promptly at 1 p.m. For $5 per person, guests will have a roasted pork loin, scalloped potatoes and broccoli salad.
